Has Michael Jackson Now Become A Drag Staple?
La Misteriosa has seen a couple of drag shows in SoCal and in Las Vegas, and without fail, each and every single drag show had some Michael Jackson impersonator. Indeed, it seems the impersonators are in even higher demand since the King of Pop died last year.
Here's definitely one of the better ones, performing over 6,000 shows for over 35 years Earnest Valentino:

However, I think I've saved the best for last, the incomparable Lane Lassiter. He performed as MJ for over 25 years at An Evening at LaCage with Frank Marino, back when it used to be at the Riviera; next to Frank, he was the longest running cast member of the show. Lane is recovering from a foot injury, and we're wondering if he intends to return to performing as MJ on the Strip once more? We know he was recently contacted by VH1, who is doing yet another film about MJ, though this one supposedly picks up from his mid-30s, the trials, and finally, his untimely death. Lane's impersonation was so uncanny, one of the producer's blurted out: are you really white? For those whom have not seen Lane out of makeup, he has had no surgeries to look like MJ, and he is African-American. The entire illusion from skin tones down to the pixie nose, are all skillfully applied makeup and prosthetics. Here he is roaming the Riviera hotel, messing with the heads of patrons, who really don't know how to react:
