Captain Jack is Back…Again!
Disney pulled out all the stops today by forking over a FUCKLOAD of cash to personally have Johnny Depp, in full pirate drag as Captain Jack Sparrow, announce that Pirates of the Caribbean (4): On Stranger Tides was coming out summer of 2011.
In other words, Disney is giving everyone plenty of advance notice that if you, or any other studio HAD a movie scheduled to come out around that time, well, best to reschedule, because no one is going to see "that other movie" while this is in theatres.
Rumours abound that the release will be in Disney Digital 3-D! Huzzah!
We're guessing Johnny got whatever he asked for...somewhere around $20M + (no pun intended) a sweet back-end deal on the gross profits. We happen to think he's one of the few actors worth that amount of money...
