According to Broadcasting & Cable, HBO will adapt the book into either a telefilm mini-series, or limited string of hour-long series (like their co-production with the BBC, the similarly epic: Rome).
No doubt HBO will give the book the production value and topic sensitivity it deserves. It will be most interesting to see who are cast as the varied middle-sex leads.
