RuPaul’s Drag Race voting suspended?
We're trying to figure out why the website casting for RuPaul's Drag Race - Season 2 has taken down the vote numbers for each contestant. Maybe it's a bug in the code, perhaps they don't want it to be all about numbers until later, but either way: it's a major disappointment for the THOUSANDS of queens and fans who took the time to prepare their bios for review...wtf?
Here is the official press release (from today):
Hey Everyone!
I'm sure some of you have already noticed a big change to the RuPaul Casting... no more voting. LOGO requested that we drop the voting from the site since they do similar voting castings on their own site and didn't want to confuse anyone.
So here's what we're doing...
- We removed the voting from the casting (now you'll see 40 random members instead of just the Top voted on people) - We've submitted all of our current members in the order that they were in at the start of the day. That way all the work you did to get votes wasn't in vain. - We'll also be submitting everyone at the end over to the Casting Directors just so that anyone that signs up over the next 2 weeks also gets reviewed.
Don't forget, that means you have 2 weeks to get your photos and videos up! And in all of our casting calls, having awesome media and interested stories is what will ultimately get you cast for a show.
Well, there you have it. Still have questions? Yeah, so do we!
