RuPaul: Tranny Chaser, behind the scenes.
Ru's new music video Tranny Chaser should be out soon (she just released Covergirl with the 3 other girls, and a remix [with video] by Revolucian which we happen to think should have been the original...). Anyway, we're sure Revolucian will remix this song as well. Tranny Chaser just might be one of the funniest and catchiest on the album - and is sure to be a drag/club favorite. We're already imagining the million+ YouTube spin-offs that are coming our way...
We should add that we have been listening to the album the last 2-3 days and it's not half-bad. It's very modern with voice-synth/Ru-bot singing, and even RuPaul rapping - yes, rapping - but it works. You'll just have to hear it...the album spans disco to ballads and anthems, a bit all-over, it's not homogeneous or "concept" in any way. It's just pure, sugary-pop confection music, would you really want to expect anything else from RuPaul?
Gotta' love the 80's retro sunglasses (yes, the 80's are back...memo to the fags under a rock...), though we think Detox wore it better (we gotta' give her her props for her few seconds in Rihanna's Disturbia video)...just check out her MySpace.
I love Detox I worked with her at Macy’s in Florida and we partied all the time.
