We think fellow NYC drag performer "Hedda Lettuce" has the most succinct and overwhelming opinion on the show.

We have a few things to say too...
1.) Ru was fucking lit with the SUN. La Misteriosa works in TV and she can assure you that someone blurred the fuck out of the video, every time she was in drag. WTF? No, Ru, no. We all age. Age gracefully, and show us what you got. The open with the WAAAAY over-Photoshopped you is just too much. And, girl...eat something...please. Now. You look scary thin.
2.) What's with the boy drag, Ru? We haven't seen you in forever, and you're grooming these bitches on how to become a Drag Star, and you show up in a suit most of the show? Boy drag? WTF? And girl, you have gorgeous lace front wigs, and we could see on our HDTV that you sometimes just threaded the wig...Girl, you are on TV again. WTF?
3.) We KNOW it's hard to get sponsors...especially for a drag show. We commend Ru, b/c it must have been nothing short of a Herculean task to get this show even made. That being said, Logo is a subsidiary of MTV/VH1/Viacom, and they have MONEY. Don't you think they could have spared some change for what is sure to be a knock-out show? If only everything didn't look so damn cheap. We thought the set flats were gonna' fall on Ru and the judges.
4.) We look forward to more shows...and another season with more $$ for the show itself. The prizes seemed pretty lackluster for these hard-working gals to quit their day/night jobs. A $20,000 cash prize? A 30 second ad goes for waaay more than that! Granted, the winner will have a title to exploit at clubs and other appearances for money, but still...Logo, such a tight-wad.
5.) Lastly, if you're gonna' call a drag queen out on her physical appearance, be it size, or plastic surgery - do it to her face so she can have something to say too. Saying it behind her back is pretty low, on anybody's radar, and it's just not funny - not on national TV.
We think we'll keep adding to this list as the show continues.

In other news, expect Ru to take advantage of all the free press the hard-working drag queens are giving her, to promote her new album, allegedly titled "Champions." It's being produced by Revolucian, the guy behind such "celebitchy" tracks as "Don't Taze Me Bro'!," "Bale Out," "Sarah Palin Remixed," and the now classic Streisand mix "STFU." For those who don't get it, it's an acronym for: SHUT THE FUCK UP! He also produced a dance track "Cootchie," for the remake of John Waters' "Hairspray." It all comes full circle...
I totally agree with all of your points! I also work in television on if they washed Ru out anymore she wouldn’t have a face. They did WAY too much to her in post-production. That whole drag judging scene has such surreal colors, I was wondering if Ru is going to wake up at the end of the show realizing it was all just a bad dream.

We agree too. Ru is frightened to look old, but we all age, girl. We still love her, she shouldn’t be so afraid about it. It’s worse to pretend like it doesn’t exist and become a topic of ridicule. La Misteriosa is also willing to bet that they did some of the work during production, so that even if a disgruntled employee from World of Wonder in L.A. took some raw footage, it wouldn’t look as bad as the leaked photos of Madonna from her “Hard Candy” shoot…
