Deployment of 1st Brigade Combat Team on American soil.

On October 1, 2008, the 3rd Infantry Division’s 1st Brigade Combat Team was redeployed for 12 months on what is expected will be a permanent mission to respond to the threat of terrorist attacks on American soil and perform crowd control of unruly American citizens in the case of civil unrest. (You mean, like when we go vote, protest, or if the voting system proves to be rigged again?) The force was renamed CBRNE Consequence Management Response Force and is now under the the daily control of United States Northern Command’s Army North, whose mission is to protect the United States homeland and support local, state, and federal authorities. [1] The President is the Commander in Chief, and thus the leader of these troops - in other words, the President now has his own private army.

On October 4, 2008, political consultant Naomi Wolf issued a statement on KEXP 90.3 FM Seattle, arguing that this, along with the threats of martial law reported by Brad Sherman, was in fact part of a coup d’état which has taken place in the United States. She called for the immediate arrest of George W. Bush.

1. Invoke a terrifying internal and external enemy. (Bin Laden, a mushroom cloud, Wall St. meltdown “crisis”)

2. Create secret prisons where torture takes place. (Guantanamo, Cuba)

3. Develop a thug caste or paramilitary force not answerable to citizens. (Blackwater.)

4. Set up an internal surveillance system. (Telecom immunity for spying on US citizens.)

5. Harass citizens’ groups. (WTO riots.)

6. Engage in arbitrary detention and release. (Guantanamo, Cuba)

7. Target key individuals. (Valerie Plame & her husband)

8. Control the press. (Fox “News” - need we say more?)

9. Treat all political dissents to be traitors. (”You are not patriotic if you don’t support the troops.”)

10. Suspend the rule of law. (Guantanamo, Cuba)

Spend 30 minutes listening to Ms. Naomi Wolf - she will blow you away with her intelligence, and how she charted the demise of the American Democratic Experiment, as Bush came to power. Then, listen to where she thinks we will go next. Judging by her being right on everything before, she’s probably right on what we can expect. It will unnerve you - and you should really listen.
