Who will watch ‘The Watchmen?’
From film director Zak Snyder, who brought you '300,' comes his adaptation of the ONLY graphic novel (some would call it a comic book, but that would be geek heresy) to be included in the top 100 pieces of English literature (yes, kids, literature!) of the 20th century: WATCHMEN.
That graphic novel is by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons, a collaborative duo who also created 'V for Vendetta' and 'The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen,' among many other highly acclaimed crive works. Please place no blame on the film adaptations on the original authors, they hate movies...but this one looks promising. We hope. With a huge budget, a great cast, and even bigger expectations, this will be THE inescapable movie of 2009 - with the exception of James Cameron's 3D science-fiction epic: Avatar.
