Another fagtastic review for Ms. Conception at Lucky Cheng’s, Las Vegas!
Show Review: Get lucky with five queens in Vegas. By Caroline Fontein
Embark on a “dragalicious journey” at Lucky Cheng’s Drag Cabaret in the Krave theater at Planet Hollywood, where drag queens lip synch and dance for a wild night of entertainment.
It’s the only place in Vegas where you are sure to get five queens and there’s no gambling required.
An all-you-can-eat pan-Asian style buffet is served before the show starts. During dinner and while not on stage, the drag queens also act as the waitresses who take drink orders or just stop by your table for some playful interaction.
“Be prepared to be hypnotized and mesmerized by the most beautiful drag queens in Vegas,” announces one of the show’s emcees, Naya Simon. Before the show starts she goes over a few “rules” with the audience, one of which is to get ready to go crazy.
“Shoot your bra across the table,” instigates Simon.
Next she jokingly warns that these women are “bold, rude and crude,” so be ready to play along.
Chi Chi De la Cruz is the first performer to go on stage and she does a choreographed routine to Rihanna’s “Don’t Stop the Music,” while at the same time roaming through the audience to visit the numerous audience members waving dollar bills.
This is one show where you need to “show some money if you want the honey,” so make sure you have some $1 bills handy.
The intimate theater setting allows everyone to get a close look at all the action and the different elaborate costumes and wild wigs sported by the drag queens.
Miss Conception does a riveting performance of “Sweet Transvestite” from “Rocky Horror Picture Show” while wearing a light-up bra that is just as flashy as her dance moves.
If that doesn’t get you going then the brief Lucky Cheng’s aerobics led by Simon is sure to get your heart pumping.
If you’re shy you might want to indulge in a few drinks before participating in the Drag-Off competition where three men from the audience are selected to come on stage, dress in drag and lip synch to a song.
“Shake that money maker!” shouts Simon as one of the men in the competition really starts to cut loose.
Alexis Dealer, the show’s “blonde bombshell,” performs a spicy number to Britney Spears’ “Toxic,” while wearing a satiny flight attendant uniform. Next, the Lady Shug comes out dressed in a naughty nurse outfit to perform another salacious number. The bawdy costumes are just part of the fun in this cabaret where almost anything goes.
If you are looking for a show with uninhibited entertainment that encourages everyone to get rowdy and have a good time, then Lucky Cheng’s Drag Cabaret is the place to be. It’s a great place to go for a bachelorette party, birthday or just a night on the town with a group of friends who are not afraid to go beyond the norm and have some fun.
