Fort Lauderdale Tea, Season 1, Episode 2

Hello,

we're sorry our second show took so long to put together, but everyone has been very busy. We had a number of false starts with days when we thought special guests would show, but had to cancel for one reason or another. However, we look forward to having them come on to the podcast when they can, and be a regular contributor to our show(s) when their schedules permit.

Having said that, we must apologize for the audio quality of this program. Despite the generous donation of some new equipment, we had to get ready for the show at the last minute and didn't have time to properly test everything...as a result, La Misteriosa and Princessa's comments were often so low as to be inaudible. Where we could, we bumped up the volume, and we tried to lower the subsequent noise/hiss that happens when one does that. We promise to get our busy asses on this problem, so the next show should sound better than ever. We beg your patience as we work out the kinks, we're still quite new!

This show is a little bit long, to make up for not being around sooner...it runs about 2.5 hours and we cover just about everything, including our sensational performer guest: Twat LaRouge, whom you can link to by clicking on the picture of her (she's the puppet). We also cover Ms. Elora Frost winning the Ms. Wilton Manors Illusion contest and her coining of the phrase: gender variant. I wouldn't be surprised if it's a word that catches on in our community, as it much more accurately reflects the flexibility of human sexuality. The show also touches upon some bias in our community, and we do get a little more somber and reflective, although there's still plenty of silliness and fun to be had.

Our shows are content variant, and we don't have a format that we stick to (we want it to feel like you're just hanging out with your friends), and you'll be able to discern a different dynamic depending upon which performers we have on the podcast for that show. So, I'm hoping/guessing that if and when some certain other drag performers can make it their way out to our humble recording sessions, Fort Lauderdale Tea and the Drag Queen Posse © will be more outrageous than ever, and that's what we aspire to do: push some buttons, make people laugh, and also make people think about some of the serious topics we've discussed with a little more depth and various perspectives.

Lastly, if you enjoyed the song that opened our show, it's Ms. Glitz Glamour's first single: Freak Mind. Keep coming back to our website as we inaugurate our e-store (not, not that kind!) with an .mp3 that you can buy and download for only $1! Her music video is still being worked upon, but progress is being made! Look for it here, where it will premiere first!

So, we hope you enjoy the podcast. Again, we welcome you to write to us on our website with comments and feedback both positive and negative. Thanks for tuning in, and it's a pleasure to have you listen.

Enjoy.

Sincerely,

The Fort Lauderdale Tea's Drag Queen Posse.
